High-End Makeup Dupes!

It wasn't until recently that I decided I would take the plunge into the world that is high end makeup. The idea that the more expensive a product is the better it is doesn't really apply to all cosmetics. Here are some high street products that easily perform just as well as the high end products...

Starting with lipsticks, the two that really stand out for me is the Kate Moss lipstick in shade 117 by Rimmel London and Mac's mineralize rich lipstick in All out gorgeous. Both of these lipsticks are a deep warm red which are incredibly moisturizing to the lips and stay on for up to four hours. They are extremely light weight and only require on coat, apart from occasionally topping up throughout the day.
The MAC lipstick is priced at £20 and the Rimmel lipstick is £6.99.

Next up is eyes! For this I have specifically chosen a single colour called 'Fiery' out of the white MUA palette which I think is a perfect dupe for Mac's Woodwinked. Both of these colours are a gorgeous brown with a subtle golden shimmer. Woodwinked has a much better formulation which makes it very creamy and pigmented, however, for a cheap palette I think that the coverage wasn't bad at all and I was positively surprised with MUA. Obviously Mac's Woodwinked has many more great aspects such as the darkening when blending, but for the price, MUA's fiery is a perfect dupe!
Woodwinked is £12.50 and MUA is £4.99 for the WHOLE palette,  definitely worth it!
Fiery is top row, fourth from the left!

And now for foundation! For this I have chosen my Mac matchmaster foundation with SPF and the dupe is Rimmel London lasting finish 25 hour. Both these foundations have a high coverage and last a long time. However, I find they can be drying so make sure to apply moisturizer and primer with these foundations. The Mac Matchmaster foundation is £27 while the Rimmel London lasting finish is £6.99 from Boots or Superdrug.

Lastly, Mascara! I've been loving and worshipping the 'they're real' mascara from benefit, but it did cost a lot of Wonga. So I've been investigating and found that the Rimmel London Scandeleyes and show off mascara is equally as amazing. They both have plastic brushes which really helps separate and not clump your lashes. They both have domed tips which allow you to get into your pesky inner lashes and also wing them on the outside for a dolled affect. I find they both lengthen your lashes incredibly and work pretty great together! Heres for the fun part, Benefit's theyre real cost £19.50 while Rimmel London's Scandeleyes cost £6.99, Bargain!!
